7 Social Media Post Best Practices
Best Practices of Social Media
In Japan communication is important and treating people with respect is a crucial part of social life, so we have curated a list of 7 of the most important best practices for using social media for business and helping you boost your marketing efforts, make your social media management great and get the best out of your social media.
Set SMART Goals
Before you do anything with your Social posts even before you start to plan you need to have a goal in mind a SMART goal ( Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic and timely). A goal allows you and your team to stick to an idea and sets the main type of post. For example, if your goal is to increase your engagement you would post helpful and human content or maybe even a fun fact about your industry or your brand/ employers you wouldn’t make a post about your services and constantly shove it down your prospects thoughts.
Have a Buyer Persona In Mind
So you know what your goal is but who is your post targeted at? Knowing who your writing to is extremely important this is where buyer personsas come into play. Buyers’ Personas are semi-fictional representations of your actual customers, they are used to represent your different segments of customers and should be used to help target the correct customers for your posts
Your Posts schedule shouldn’t all be promotional
There is a rule in marketing called the 80/20 rule and it refers to 80% of your content being non-brand promotional and 20% being promotional. This allows for a balance in building potential customers and building relationships through inbound marketing. rather than using outbound marketing methodology.
Use an odd number
Now this may seem odd at first but it has been proven and studied that pages or posts with an odd number in it have gotten 20% more clicks than ones with even numbers or no numbers. It’s also seen that people subconsciously see an even number and believe that there is another thing added just to reach that even number this then creates the question of whether or not the company that is offering the information is trustworthy.
Include a CTA
Including a call-to-action may seem like a no-brainer and yet 63.7% of Instagram posts have no CTA. Inbound marketing is all about guiding your prospects so give them that next step guide them to the funnel and show them what you want them to do.
Experiment with other media
Studies have been showing that people’s attention span is declining as more and more fast-rendered content such as Youtube shorts, Tiktok, and Instagram Reels. the need to catch readers’ attention is at an all-time high. The best way of doing this is to have a wide range of media from enticing images to videos. Don’t be afraid to experiment with different media some people prefer images while others prefer videos so make sure there is something for everyone.
Don’t post the same over other channels
We all know how easy it is to just post the same thing on every platform but the truth is different people hang out on different channels. Make sure your Instagram, Facebook, Twitter etc posts aren’t all the exact same otherwise, you will not be getting as much traffic as you could be getting from your social media.
In conclusion, you now have the seven best practices that we recommend you can now weild you digital katana and slice through the competition as you continue to answer all of your prospects needs with an inbound approach to marketing.
